The Pedal Pushers Pullover Drive is scheduled for Sunday, November 27, 2011
Don't put your vintage ride into hibernation just yet!
Join The Pedal Pushers on Sunday, November 27, 2011 for some driving fun. The route will begin in the heart of Oakland, California with a 9 a.m. roll-off. We'll make our way through remote two-lane roads and fields of windmills as we reach our lunch stop, where we'll fuel-up before the second leg of the tour begins. After we zoom along curvy scenic roads, we'll motor up and down the backside of nowhere to a watering hole on a scenic waterway to recap the day's adventures. The approximate driving time including lunch is 7 hours covering a distance of approximately 200 miles.
All drivers and navigators welcome, both gals and guys, with a vintage car or something unique that may not qualify for other local driving tours. So dust off your R5 Turbo, Bugatti kit car, Mk1 GTI, Country Squire estate, and other seemingly non-eligible cars. The selection committee will review all applications received to ensure outside-the-box vehicles meet the Pedal Pushers criteria for style and flare, but we do encourage variety.
We had beautiful weather for the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Pullover drives and hope this year's event continues the tradition of California touring at its best. The weather may be brisk, so bring your finest vintage pullover to compliment your car.
We encourage everyone to drive within his or her skill level. The Pullover is not a race. Current drivers licenses, vehicle registration and insurance are mandatory for all participants to receive their route maps and directions at the roll-off.
